Norton 2005 help

Group, I just purchased Norton antivirus 2005 and after I load the disc the
main window flashes for a split second on my monitor then disapears. If I go
to my computer and click on the proper drive then click on the install icon a
small window asking if I want to stop the install appears and repeats itself a
zillion times and the computer freezes for about a minute and then the drive
window disapears. I'm pretty POed that Norton offers no install help other
than a $30 phone call or a 1000 page list of problems that I'm supposed to
search. Has anyone seen this problem? Thanks.
