norton 2005 and 2 home computers

I have 2 home computers. I understand that norton 2005 often comes as a
single user version. I'd like to know if people out there have put this on
2 home computers and can get updates (subscriptions) on both computers.
This would be a factor for me in deciding to buy. Thanks in advance.

PS. Otherwise I may go with Mcafee. Also does anyone have answer for
norton systemworks which I'm considering.

Others have said in this group: 1 computer, 1 license.

I gave up on McAfee years ago when, shortly after purchasing their
"Office" suite, I upgraded Windows NT 4.0 to Win2K. Went to reinstall
McAfee and it said "You don't have Windows NT, you need to upgrade for
$70." [Maybe it was 3.51 to 4.0...]

Why not save $$ and try a free one. I like Avast!.

I gave up on Norton when they went to product activation on the 2004
releases and then had the gall to tout it as an enhancement. My
understanding is that you will not be able to activate the second
installation.

OTOH, you can nearly always find Norton and McAfee for free with
upgrade/competitive rebates. Buy both and use the other for the
competitive rebates. I thought McAfee was the way to got bu I can't
find a McAfee equivalent to Norton's Intelligent Updater which only
requires me to download the thing once (dial modem from home). Since
I do hate Symantec, does anyone know if McAfee has an Intelligent
Updater equivalent. Maybe I'll try the Panda thing next?
