Norton 2004 and Napster 2.0

OK, this may seem odd, but Napster 2.0 seems to "unactivate" my Norton NIS
and NAV 2004. After installing Napster 2.0, it would work just fine. But
after the next reboot, a mystery hardware device is installed (I think it is
a USB reader or something that goes with Napster 2.0). And after 5 minutes,
NIS and NAV 2004 will "unactivate" and it says you need to reactivate. Well,
you try to and it will not work. So I had to remove both Napster and NIS and
NAV 2004 and even do a restore and then load Norton back on and it works
fine. Just to test the theory, I tried Napster 2.0 again and once again, it
"unactivates" Norton 2004.

Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks,
Brian

Well, there is a know problem where you reboot XP 25 times and it
deactivates NAV2004. Perhaps that's related to your problem.
Symantec knows about it but I haven't heard of a fix for it yet.

Well, it only seems to happen after installing Napster and then rebooting.
I've tested this theory. So far, no help from both companies.
