I get a lot of spam with nonsense words in it, like

oralory acrokym ief dbvimowx bb qnwrayensyfz zwtt sp uajbo d rldanadet zexo

What does the spammer gain from this?

There is usually some html as well as the nonsense words. How does this
confuse spam filters? I haven't had any luck using the text in the subject
line or message itself in filtering out junk mail. They may as well put
nothing...

I think it must be some internal tracking thing - you see it in subject
lines, too. Dunno; I don't associate with spammers or scumbags. Wait, that's
redundant.

Maybe there are spam filters that look for messages with no non-html text in
them, and putting in gibberish words, which can't be on any "bad words"
list, is easier than putting in real words. I can see how it might confuse
Bayesian filters which try to track the statistics on how often certain
words appear in spam versus ham. I'm just theorizing though, having only
viewed this battle from the spammee side of things.
