What gives? I've checked my pop3 / smtp settings with my ISP's email support
page and its as its supposed to be.
The wierd thing is the "test email settings" button works fine and I can see
my OUtlook Email Test Message when I went to my ISP's webmail (in order to
verify my pop3 / smtp configuration).
Oh, the port for smtp shows as 25. That's the default, right?

Version of Outlook? have you configured your SMTP server to authenticate
itself? Does this happen for replies only or also for new e-mails?

Port 25 is indeed the default SMTP port.

Tips of the month:
-FREE tool; QuickMail. Create new Outlook items anywhere from within Windows
-Properly back-up and restore your Outlook data

Outlook 2K3.
It happens with both new mails and replies.
The Outgoing Server Tab was unchecked; I've not had to check it before. I
just put a check mark to authenticate, and use incoming mail server settings.
I'll see what happens when I send a mail to myself at a different mail box.
