I have Windows XP and have re-installed a generic USB camera with microphone
which has worked on my system in the past and currently works on my
daughter's computer. On my computer the camera works but the microphone
doesn't. I can't access the volume in Control Panel as it's greyed out.
This option is available if I choose Realtek, which isn't a microphone on my
computer.
My apologies if this question has been directed to the incorrect area. I've
been advised by another MVP that it should be directed to Windows General but
I didn't see that option in the huge 'Select a Discussion Group' list when
scrolling down. Is there a trick to navigating through this list?
