Hi. I hope you can help me out - im going bonkers as I just cant suss
out what im doing wrong. I have just bought hubby an MP3. We managed
to put the CDs in the PC and get them onto WMP and then onto MP3. Then
we got even more adventurous and bought a song off MSN. It is now sat
in our Library on WMP, but when we try to "sync" it to the MP3, it
comes up "Error - Windows Mendia Player has encountered a problem".

I have just looked at all the details and have noticed that all the
other songs are not protected, but the song we have downloaded is
protected. Is that why we cant download it to the MP3? It is a WMA
file as are all the other songs.

Sorry if all the above sounds naff, but we arent too good with computer
speak :0)

Hope someone out there can point us in the right direction as to what
we are doing wrong. Obviously we dont want to pay for any more
downloads if we arent going to be able to put them onto the MP3.

Thanks in advance.

WMA and MP3 are two different types of audio file types. Depending on your
player, it may support both types, or only MP3. It also may not support
protected WMA files. If your player does not support WMA, you will have to
re-rip all of your CDs as MP3s. If you use WMP, you will have to change the
file type in the options.
