Ok, I started experiencing the exact same problem today,
and I am completely befuddled.
I use IE 6.0 with XP SP2 installed. Today, several web
pages that I visit regularly failed to load completely.
For instance, Amazon.com stops with 46 items remaining,
and just sits there. eBay stops with 54 items remaining.
It almost appears that certain items being downloaded are
causing a traffic jam, that stops the flow completely.
Other pages, like MSNBC, load completely, but very slow.
My homepage my.yahoo.com loads fast. So does anything at
microsoft.com. It is only certain websites.
I checked my traffic, and information isn't moving there
at all. I then went to my Macintosh G4, and everything
works fine, so it isn't my connection.
So I went back to my Windows machine and here is the
weird part. I opened up my RealPlayer browser and went
to the same pages and the exact same thing happened.
Does RealPlayer use IE in the background, or is it a
separate application completely? If it is, then there is
something outside of the browser, but within my machine,
that is causing this problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
