To get this installed/operable on a system? I just don't like the idea of putting the tools included in the resource kit on all users machines and the following is needed for our main database which unfortunately uses an access front end:

C:\winnt\system32\COMDLG32.DLL

*.oca

*.ocx

*.dep

*\comctl32.dll

*.oca

*.ocx

*.dep

To get what installed?

the files listed in the post. It's the common dialog package that installs
in the resource kit installation, but I don't want to have to install the

No such animal in the Windows 2000 resource kit. You list files with wild
card filenames so I have no idea what files. Is this office? If so you can
use developer addition, set references to the desired activex (and or other)
components, build the package for distribution. They'll know more in the
office groups.

"C:\winnt\system32\COMDLG32.DLL"

as well as comdlg32.oca, .ocx, .dep etc etc etc as listed in the first post.

Hi Scott,

I don't have the resource kit, yet I have the programs you
mention:
comdlg32.dll
comdlg32.oca
comdlg32.ocx
comdlg32.dep
in my system32 directory. I don't have the comdlg32.etc file
though.

In looking at 4 other systems close by, each of 'em has at least
the .dll and .ocx files, yet none of 'em have the resource kit
intsalled.

Perhaps you have a problem of some sort with your basic install
procedure that's causing these files NOT to be installed.
