Help!
Rebooted W2K pro this morning and the auto log-on default family
user/profile came up like a brand new, 1st run user screen with no personal
settings or access to our family My Docs, My Pics, Favs, etc. Went to Docs &
Settings Folder and found a new user had been created with the name
"oldusername" plus ".computername". Logging off and back on with my old user
name and password still loads "oldusername.computername". Deleted the new
profile and rebooted and the software recreated "oldusername.computername"
and reloaded it. Copied all contents of "oldusername" to
"oldusername.computername" and rebooted but instead of loading
"oldusername.computername" with the old sttings and folder access, yet
another user was created and loaded, "oldusername.computername.000" Control
Panel | Users & Groups doesn't show these new profiles however, only the
original profiles, Administrator and OldUserName. Also tried deleting
"oldusername.computername" and renaming "oldusername" to
"oldusername.computername" but access was denied and the rename was not
allowed. I just want my lod stuff back. Anybody have any clues? Thank-you.
