Non-included mailbox receives scheduling invitations

Problem: I have exchange 2k3 running on Win2k AD. If user A sends a
meeting request to user B, both user B and user C receive the request
in their inbox.User C is a delegate for user B.

I have off-line defrag'd, repaired, integrity checked the exchange MDBs
all day and the problem still exists. I have removed the delegate
status for User C as well. It is only scheduling invitations that are
being replicated to user C.

There must be something obvious that I'm missing.

I'm a little confused, since what you describe is perfectly normal behavior for a delegate. What behavior were you expecting?

No other delegates in our organization receive scheduling requests that
were sent to the address for which they're a delegate so I consider
this one instance to be a fluke. In any case, even if I remove
delegate status for user C he still receives the requests.

A delegate is supposed to receive meeting requests for the other person. That's part of what being a delegate entails. Maybe the users who aren't getting them aren't really delegates; maybe they just have permissions to work with certain folders in the other person's mailbox.

To solve User B's problem, you can delete the delegate rule with the free MAPI Editor tool from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=55FDFFD7-1878-4637-9808-1E21ABB3AE37. Complete instructions in the mfcmapi.doc included with the download.
