I'm keen to hear Canon owners' experiences with non-genuine ink
cartridges, in particular "Peach" brand. This a Swiss company
manufactured in Asia 'using Swiss developed technology and ink'

In Australia I have seen aftermarket products for the S900 from:

http://www.directaccess.com.au
http://www.inkstore.com.au
http://www.officeexpress.com.au (Peach)

Can anyone relate about whether replacement carts not from Canon are a
better option than refilling? I'm not willing to refill, but if
non-genuine is just as problematic or affect quality then maybe I'll
forget that too - spend only or the genuine $$$ ones.

I'm not sure if JetTec are available yet in Oz as I've shipped quite a few
to Australian customers over the last year. The unique feature with JetTec
is that the sponge side is reduced and therefore the ink side enlarged by
50%. That makes them quite a bargain. I've reproduced all the test images
perfectly with the S-820 on JetTec paper. The red snap off end clip also
snaps on again for the refiller - so it may be worth while paying for the
better compatible ?
More details are at www.inkylink.co.uk or as below

Very few (if any) problems have been reported in this newsgroup concerning
Canon BCI-6 aftermarket cartridges which is what the S900 uses. While
aftermarket cartridges such as Rainbow are inexpensive, they are still much
higher in overall cost than refilling. The BCI-6 is so easy to refill that
I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't want to try it.
