I have a new AOpen motherboard with XP Pro and everything
works fine except when I go to Control
Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager, I get the yellow
exclamation mark over "Game Port for Creative."
Properties says "device cannot fine enough free resources
that it can use (Code 12)" Is this a driver issue, or a
resource issue? I have tried new drivers to no avail.

Do the properties for the game port give you any further information?
How much hardware do you have installed on your pc that may be taking up
irqs etc? That includes USB cards, sound and vga cards etc. Can you dump any
of them? ( eg disable one or more com ports or the parallel port if you
don't use it)
You could try telling your bios that you dont have a PnP system installed
so it assigns resources rather than let Windows do it. You can always set it
back to the old value if it doesn't work.
