For anyone looking for a non-chipped Canon printer that uses bci-c carts, I
noticed in a J&R ad in today's New York Times the Canon Pixma ip6000D (six
color photo printer) for $79.99. It didn't say they were refurbished so I
think they may be new and on final closeout. I've read that it is slower
than the i960 that it replaced and has fewer jets, but the carts are
refillable and there are lots of inexpensive aftermarket prefilled carts
available as well. If I didn't have functioning i960 and ip5000 as well as
a spare new ip5000 still in the factory sealed box I would go for one
myself.
