Non-bootable ISO

I been trolling and searching for a while, and haven't seen a post with the
issue I'm having, so here's another new one:

I downloaded both 32 and 64-bit versions, and although I've tried Roxio 7.5,
Nero 7 and Imgburn at the slowest speed, none of the DVDs (+R) I've burned
will boot. The disc itself seems to be OK - I ran the install from a spare
W2K drive I had, and it installed and ran with no problems (so far) - but no
booting, and I want to do a clean install. I've now got 8 or 9 non-bootable
DVDs.

I'm re-downloading the 32-bit, so I can't try the checksum until it's done,
and I replaced the original download, so can't say if that one was bad since
I didn't look at the checksum posts until after I started the 2nd d/l. When I
try to run NeroMD5Verifier on the 64-bit, though, it errors out with a C++
runtime error.

Anyone else end up with a non-bootable disc?

You need to open your motherboard BIOS and set your
DVD drive as the first bootable drive.

So the 2nd d/l is fine, the checksum matches, Nero verified the burn, and
still no booting. The only thing left I can think of is my Pioneer DVD
burner, so I'm going to try an LG in a new computer I'm setting up.

Grrr.

Im having a similar problem. I have two CD drives, the first doesnt support
DVDs so i use the second. However, this drive doesnt seem to be in BIOS, so
how do i boot it from that drive?

I have the exact same problem. I currently have 3 dvd's that won't boot up.
I've tried 3 different .iso's also. My BIOS is set up. Any suggestions?

When burning .iso image to DVD+R make sure you click on the file type box and
pick the bootable .iso image in the drop down box. I using Nero 6.6 Ultra.

i think it's the pioneer, i'm having the same problem. after 10 different
programs, about 20 dvd's no luck. i got the 32 bit to work by saving the iso
