Non-accessible Folders. Should I worry?

Don

I have a number of strange folders with titles made up of numbers and
letters eg "07ddebec27a45a38871ead0dea00159aa" (without the inverted
commas). Each folder contains three folders titled "Common," "sp1" and
"sp2" and also a file titled "xpsp1hfm.exe." When I click on any of
these folders or the file I get the message " Access denied" or words to
that effect.

Can anyone tell me where these folders etc have originated from, should
they be there and is there anything to worry about? Can I delete them?

Many thanks

I believe those are the service pack (critical update) files. Unless
you really need more room, just leave them alone.

Thanks for the assurance Joseph, as long as they will not cause me any
trouble I will leave them alone.
