with this notice.
No more Hotmail or web based email allowed in Windows Mail. :(

Any way arround it ?

Hi,

No, Windows Mail doesn't support the http protocol. If your mail server
supports POP3, IMAP, or SMTP then you can use these protocols, otherwise you
cannot use web-based mail.

Hotmail Popper works fine on Vista RTM, I use it to collect mail from my
Hotmail accounts.

Cute, it uses a redirect that pulls the web-based mail and then supplies it
to OE/WM using POP3/SMTP protocols under a local server address. Too bad
it's not free.

I can't see how you can delete or manage the Hotmail account in that way.

ss.

Chris, are you using it on Vista86 or Vista64?
Windows Live Desktop Mail Beta. I made the switch and I have to say it's pretty darn Good.

Neither is Mail Forward, but picks up Gmail Yahoo other POP3 and my Hotmail
account. Set how often to collect and forget.

From what I can see, it pulls the http mail to the local system with the
local user's web logon, then sets up a redirect where OE/WM uses the POP3
protocol to access the local IP address (127.0.0.1) to access and download
it. It then uses STMP to reverse the process when sending mail. Basically,
it serves as a redirect that supports/creates an interface between the
protocols used by OE/WM and the webmail.
