How do you deal with a noisy fan? Is it replaceable?

You can lubricate the bearing with 1 drop of oil. As a rule, such fans
have only one bearing under a sticker with the name of your card o fan
manufacturer.

Depends on the source of the noise.

It could be the fan bearing (you may be able to lubricate it, depends on the
bearing type.)

It could be turbulance of the air - not a lot you can do about this. I
found that the fan on my 9800 Pro was the noisiest thing in my system and
replaced it with a huge Zalman Heatsink with a heatpipe. 490g of Aluminium
is quite a chunk of metal!

If that were the only solution, then the card would have to be replaced in
warranty.

I don't tolerate crap products. If it doesn't work, I won't fix it. That's
the manufacturer's responsibility.

And if the maker won't fix it, he goes on my don't-buy list.

Well.. when you say "noisy fan" I don't know if you mean faulty or not.
