If it is the fan, best to fix it pronto. Open the case
with it running and see where noise is coming from. See
if wires or other is getting in fan blades. Secure out of
the way. If fan is noisy or slow and not hitting
anything, replace fan if CPU fan; replace whole power
supply if power supply fan. Good luck!
