Hi, I need to choose an antivirus for a small corporate LAN, around 20
Win2000/XP clients and a couple of Linux servers, and for various
reasons I've restricted the choice to NOD32 or Sophos.
I still have no exact info about actual price differences between the
two, but in the meantime I would like to ask if anyone here knows them
and can give me any advice.

These are my requirements:

* Must correctly work and automatically update also when the user
working on the machine is not an administrator, and only belongs to the
"Users" Windows group.
* Centralized management/monitoring of configuration and updates.
* Automatic updates must also work through a proxy (squid) with NTLM
authentication.
* Of course, stability and reliability, :) but also lightness as far as
possible, as those clients are already much overloaded.

Thanks.

Sophos updates via http to either Sophos itself or a local EM
Library (needs a Win2000/2003 server). The proxying shouldn't
be a problem, but I suggest you contact the companies concerned
directly. Tell them what you need to work and ask for prices.
We can get Sophos to send techies to help with setup if we need
it, but that's because we pay them quite a lot (big site
licence) - dunno how much you need to spend to get on-site
support instead of just phone and email
