NOD32 updates

Is it possible with Nod32 to download and save update files before
installing them - so that in the event of having to/choosing to format hard
disk, the program can be updated before going on-line again?

The nod32 signature files are nod32.000, nod32.002, nod32.003 etc. and
they are located in the ESET program files folder. You can back these
up on disk and copy them over after an install as a temporary measure.
You should run an update though as updates might include PCU's
(Program component updates) and Advanced Heuristics updates.
