NOD32 prompting to save profiles.

I installed NOD32 v2.0 today based upon glowing recommendations here and
elsewhere. It is very fast. However, it keeps prompting me to save my
profile when exiting the on demand scanner after it runs because the profile
had changed. I'm not sure why it keeps prompting me to do this because as
far as I can tell no settings have changed. Is there any solution to this?
Even if I could get it to save automatically without prompting would be
helpful.

Thanks!

Go to the setup options for NOD32 scanner and click on the PROFILES tab.
Check the box in front of "Use this profile..." Whichever profile you
sleect, be sure you have your options set correctly. I have my NOD32 set to
scan everything and use Deep Heuristics.

I have it set the same way and the box has been checked. I still can't get
it to stop prompting me to save the profile when I try to close the on
demand scanner after running it. Any other ideas?

Thanks!

& scroll down to nod version 2, they should be able to sort you out.

Thank you for your response. The solution was indeed on that forum. If
anyone else is wondering, you have to edit the registry to remove a switch
for the on demand scanner to get rid of the prompting. A full tutorial is
available on the forum.

I tried a demo of nod32 antivirus and it wouldnt bloody remove from my
system , it still thinks its certifying my mail virus free.Just goes to show
that a RAT administrator could easily fool a novice into thinking they were
fully protected cos of this kind of poorly written gibberish. I've gone back
to free AVG , with zone alarm , spybot search and destroy , pest patrol and
and anti keylogger , humph that should just about cover it. I reckon the
net-infestation of porno diallers is getting really out of hand , I've
talked to two people this last week , whos hard drives are so full of this
sort of crap that the net barely works at all.

I use the product and I don't have a problem with it. <g> And I didn't
have any problems uninstalling it either as I demo-ed a couple of AV(s).

Duane :)

I had a second thought about that , i think anti-keylogger had turned off a
part of it (the part that parses your email) at some point which may have
interfered with the uninstall - not 100% sure though. ill just have to do a
reg edit at some point to find it.

it may have ben anti key logger parsing a part of it , the dll that writes
to your email and attaches to the bottom that interfered with
uninstall -not 100% sure though.(might have been a glitchy install) the
program is gone but the context menus are still there in the menu system ,
will just have to search the registry when i can be bothered.
