Been runing Symantec Corp AV for some time now, much preferable to the
crappy personal version, but decided to try something less demanding
for my old system.
Went with NOD32, and everything seemed to install ok, but then I found
that DNEWS wasn't accepting connections, couldn't access the manager
locally, and people couldn't get on the ftp. Didn't see any firewall
capapbilities mentioned in regard to NOD32, so I am a bit stuck as to
why this happened. Anyway, reinstalled NAV and everyting seems ok
again.
Anyone have any bright ideas?

Running:
Windows XP corp SP1
Sygate PF Pro
Dnews
BPFTP Server

If it didn't work when you uninstalled Norton and it worked when installed
it again, you may not have removed Norton and you need to find the how-to
and remove Norton completely off the machine. I understand Norton can cause
problems like this when trying to switch to another AV.
