It isn't suppose to detect ad/spyware/trojans. From the discussions
on the wilders security forum (nod32 section) looks like they plan on
doing that with version 3. They are getting too many request to
ignore adding that. I just hope it doesn't become bloated the way
some of the other commercial "detect everything" apps do. I keep a
1-2 punch. nod32 for full time, Kaspersky for "questionable"
downloads that I receive. Also, Giant Anti-spyware for the rest of
the crapware ;)

NOD32 has caught one ad Trojan on my machine. But that was after I
configured NOD32 to start scanning all file types.

Duane :)

I should clarify my statement that it is not that it is "suppose" to
detect trojans/ad/spyware, but that it's engine isn't as effective at
that, as it is with virus apps.
The next version is suppose to have better support for
trojan/ad/spyware. Sorry about that ;)

Correct! eTrust, F-Prot, NOD32, Norman, Panda, and Symantec miss it.

BitDefender, ClamAV, KAV, and Sybari detect TrojanDownloader.
THere you go then you stupid ****wit. Its a trojan, not a virus.
