I have just started using Nod 32 for a trial and all works well except when
requesting the on demand scanner or a scheduled an auto scan, a prompt
message pops up saying,
"Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot
fulfil the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the
default mail client" (this message has to be dealt with before the scan
will execute)
If I just press OK without changing anything the scan will go ahead as
requested, or if I do change my mail client to MS Outlook the scan will go
ahead without the problem of this prompt.
However I don't want to use MS Outlook as my default mail client, is there
an answer to this quirk?

Thanks...

Untick "use MAPI interface" which can be found under the 'setup' tab.
It is but a "quirk" and has no adverse affect on the program or it's
superb efficiency.

Thank you very much , that "fixed" it

I'll 2nd that.........great program. The only time you know it's
there, is when it pops up saying someone tried to send you a virus!
I've used it since XP was beta, never had a problem with it.

Sorry spoke too soon, this HAS cured the problem for manual scan on demand
but NOT when a scheduled autoscan is selected, the pop up appears as before
and the scan will not go ahead until the pop up is marked "OK"
So sheduled auto scan is not possible.
Any further ideas please?

Thanks

Is the option unselected in the profile used for scheduled scans, which
is most likely different from the profile used for on demand scanning?
