I've been getting a message each time I log in that states 'Noads.dll cannot be found'. I respond with OK or Cancel and the message goes away and Noads (popup blocker) runs fine. I've uninstalled Noads and still get the same message. I've done a search for 'noads' in the registry and found nothing. Anybody have an idea what is causing the message to appear? Would appreciate anyone's help.

Even if you don't find "noads" in the registry Run keys used to load some of
the startup programs, it is possible a differently named executable is
listed in the Run keys that then requires this DLL file. Also, not all
startup programs are listed in the registry Run keys. What do you have
listed in the All Users and your own Startup group?

Tried using msconfig.exe yet to disable startup programs to see if the
problem goes away? If it does, reenable them one a time, reboot, and see
when the problem reappears.

Bothered yet to contact the software maker
(http://www.southbaypc.com/NoAds/)?

I checked the startup folder for my user account and found the noads executable still there after the uninstall. I moved the executable out of the startup folder and no more problem. thanks for the lead.
