Hi all,

Is there a way through AD 2003 to stop users writing to and the C drive. I
want them to use a single folder for saving stuff in the root of C.

Any ideas would be great!

Merry Christmas,
James.

If users are standard Users (and not Power or Adminsitrator) and NTFS is
used with the standard permissions set, this will be the case anyway. The
only place they can write within is their own profile.

Regular users can also create folders in the drive/root folder and then
write files into those folders they create. You will see that if you look at
special permissions in the advanced page of security for the drive folder.
Also users may be able to write to the shared decampments folder in the all
users profile. --- Steve
