no visable desk top

when i turn on my computer windows come on, but desktop is
not visable. prior to this when i went on the internet i
would get an error messag from explorer: windows socket
error(protocol/networkaddress/port)10048 on API Bind.this
error message would continue to appear until all had
been "clicked OK".ps could not find file path Protocol

I cannot think of any administrative scripting solution for your problem.
Try asking in a newsgroup where such problems are more relevant.
