Seems there are a few of these problems on this forum but
no one has the answer. NO matter what we do, applying
changes to the Page files makes no difference. They don't
stick and there is 0 allocated. Does anyone from
Microsoft hear this? I have a few customers with the same
problem.

HELP!

Please don't reply with the same common answers... none
of them work.

To resolve this issue, download and then install the Intel Application Accelerator (IAA) for Windows XP.
For more information about how to do this, contact Intel or browse to the following Intel Web site:

Hey Sam,

Check the values under the following registry key,

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory
Management

There should be a value in the right hand pane called PagingFiles

PagingFiles: Reg_Multi_SZ: F:\pagefile.sys 512 1024

It should look something like the above.

F:\pagefile.sys gives the location, and the 2 numerical arguments give the
initial and the maximum sizes. If both these values are 0, then its set to
system manages the size. Set them to what you want.

Sometimes XP gets confused and starts using a temporary page file.
If so it writes an extra value into the registry called TempPageFile and
sets it to 1.
If this value is present, delete it, make sure the value set for PagingFiles
is sensible, and then reboot.

TempPageFile :Reg_Dword: 0x1

VAlues in registry are correct. Still no Page File
exists. This has something to do with the failure of LDMS
as viewed in my event viewer. It has to be! It's the only
error I get in the System Log.

Thanks and help.

A 100% solution

Before you delete the "TempPageFile" reg setting you sould do that:

The couse of the probleme is a software or driver you have in the uninstall list.
To make it easy to you to find the right software, follow this tip
The software is kind of hard drive software, array software, aspi software!!!

I had the some problem, and it's really take a time to anderstand it!
Glad to help you.

12 point ISRAEL :o)
