I am using Messenger that is built-in to Windows XP. I am unable to get
video or voice to work between my two computers. Both clients have the
same version of messenger (4.7.2009). I have re-ran the video and audio
tuning wizard. Both systems pass without any issue.

Both systems are on the same network segment, ICS and Firewall is
disabled. QoS in the network properties has been unselect. There is no
other firewall software installed.

Are there any dependent services that need to be running? Is there a
troubleshooting guide that I can look at?

I appreciate any assistance you can provide.

Thank you,

Randy

I have the exact same problem on three different computers running Messenger
4.7.2009 all with XP Pro two on SP1 and one running the SP2 Beta. I have a
Logitech QuickCam Express (USB attach) and I don't get video in Windows
Messenger, even in the preview windows of the computer the camera is
physically attached to. However, the video windows do display to
participants in the conversations so it appears that the systems expect
video.

Camera works fine in all other apps including Netmeeting 3.01
(5.1.2600.2096).

Insights would be appreciated.
