No Video Transitions for some people

Hi, I administer a network in a school.

When logged in with Administrator rights, I have all the
Vido Transitions, and Video Effects available to me.
When a user logs in, without Administrator rights, they get
no Transitions, and only two effects.

Am I right in thinkin the transitions are kept in dlls in
system32 directory?
Everyone has read access to this folder, and I tried giving
Full access to this folder on my PC, but that didn't help.

How do I get everyone all the transitions?

The DLLs would be those in the c:\Program Files\Movie Maker folder.

Aha, PapaJohn!

Nice website you have, had a big look through that trying to solve this
prblem before coming here, hope I didn't miss an obvious thing from it!

Had a look on the permissions on those DLLs, users have Read/Execute rights.
Tried applying Full and that made no difference either.
I've even just tried downloading RehanFX, which of course install in a
different directory, but they show only for Admin too.

So maybe it's not a permission problem. I have no idea to be honest so any
advice would be great. Hate not having things working full for the students.

Hello,

Clearly it is a permissions problem.

While you may have the particular directory set at READ for your users, is
it in a restricted path? If it is...only those who have sufficient rights
will be able to get past the restriction so that they can then read the
directory with the lower restriction. You might need to re-examine your
policies.
