Does Chinese version of Microsoft at other-end having
conflict with English version? Also, if the other partly
not XP in OS, will it be the cause for not excepting?

Greetings Pete,

No, it shouldn't matter which version of Messenger is at whatever end. However, Windows
Messenger (and MSN Messenger 5) video is only available to Windows XP users, if you wish to
have a video conversation with someone using a previous version of Windows, you'll need to
both either upgrade to MSN Messenger 6 and use the 'Webcam' function, or have the person
using the previous version of Windows to click the Actions menu, 'Start Netmeeting' option.

Voice is completely compatible across the Windows versions however.
