no video...only audio

I have many video files and when they play the audio
works but the video doesn't. There is no error message.
If I send the files to another computer they work so they
are not damaged. What is the problem???

The computer which won't play the files is missing a required codec to
display the video. Use GSpot to identify the codec
the movie file requires: http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ and then do a
Google search for that codec, or have a look for it here:
http://www.moviecodec.com

If GSpot tells you it's a DIVX or XVID codec you require, install this one:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow/
