Microsoft, in its infinite wisdom to "improve" its users' experience, has
omitted Net Meeting from all versions of Vista. The "substitute," Windows
Meeting Space, doesn't support video. Microsoft suggests using Windows
Messenger Live. That's completely unacceptable in that it is (1)
server-based, and therefore less secure than a peer-to-peer connection, (2)
requires going outside the infranet for purely local conferences, and (2)
requires using the hideous, intrusive and insecure Windows Messenger.
I've been fine with Vista up until I discovered this today.
What are those idiots thinking, anyway?
