Hello. I have Windows XP Proffesional with a user account. I've forgotten the
password and when I go to safe mode, no administrator account shows up nad it
won't work either to type Administrator. I know I haven't applied a password
to the Administrator account. Help!

With XP Professional you don't need to go into Safe Mode to access the system
admin account. At the Welcome Screen click Ctrl+Alt+Del twice and the user
and password screen will appear. It Administrator is not in the user box,
type it in and then proceed into that account. If you never entered a
password then don't put anything in the box for the password. It is a good
safetly mechenism to change the system administrator account name and apply a
password to it. Every cracker around knows about the default admin account,
and with the name and knowlege most users neglect to apply a password they
have a direct entry into an all powerfull account with full unrestricted
access to your entire system and network if you have computers networked
together. Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving!

By design, the only way to log into the Administrator account of WinXP
Home is to reboot into Safe Mode. For WinXP Pro, pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL
twice at the Welcome Screen will produce the standard login dialog box.
