background music. After running 2 slides o.k. the
transactions stop, no matter which slide I start on. I am
using Office 2000, Windows xp
Regards tonyq.

This sounds as if PowerPoint is waiting for something to happen. Do you
have a sound playing? or an un-triggered animation? unwanted, but active
hyperlink? Are you running on a network? What version of PowerPoint?

Please post back with a couple of details so we can help you track this
malfunction.

Hi, I am using Power Point 2000 I have music running in
the backgroun (set looping). I have found that when I
remove the music from playing every thing runs O.K

AHA! What you need Tony is to set the music to continue while the slides
move on. Information on how to do this is found in this PowerPoint FAQ
entry:
Play sounds across multiple slides (A WAV runs through it)

Hi Kathryn,
I think I have found out what I have been doing wrong,I
had placed the background music file to the "Master
Slide". When I imported the music file onto the 1st SLIDE
(not master) to play on every slide and looping it plays
O.K. PLEASE CAN YOU VERIFY THIS IS THE CORRECT WAY.

TONYQ

Hi Tony,
Yes, you should be putting the music on the first slide, not the master. If
you put it on the master, it starts over with each slide. Glad you got it
figured!
