I installed Office 2003 Teacher edition and now my emails show up -- but there is no text in the text box. I have uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. Also it is not allowing me to successfully install the update. Any advice on how to fix?

Do you have PGP installed?

Hello All,

Tonight I upgraded from Office XP to Office 2003. Unfortunately, I
too was seeing the "no text in message body" problem discussed in this
thread and others. I tried working the problem for a while,
uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2003, to no avail. Eventually I
reinstalled Office XP, and all my message texts were again visible.
So I tried installing Office 2003 again, but again, no message texts.

Back to the internet to look for solutions...

Based on the "Do you have PGP installed?" question from Patricia, I
disabled both of my add-ins, PGP and Exchange Extensions. I now can
see the message body text in *MOST* of my emails, but not all.

I guess this is a great improvement, but not an ideal solution. What
I (and I assume others) would like is to be able to use PGP *AND* be
able to see the message text in *ALL* of our emails.

Everyone, please keep looking for a complete solution. This is
obviously a more widespread problem with Office 2003 than originally
believed.

Thanks.

I've heard that Panda anti-virus can also cause this problem in
Outlook 2003. Are you running Panda?

I believe the missing text problem I saw rests wholly on the
imcompatability between Outlook 2003 and older versions of PGP. I was
running the 6.5.8ckt version of PGP. I have seen other threads
mention that newer versions of PGP work well with Outlook 2003, but
unfortunately the Outlook plug-in is no longer included with free
versions of PGP.
