No Task Manger

I have windows XP Home edition.
My computer is running very slow
The Performance window shows the CPU usage very high,
it is max'd out almost half the time.

I have tried to activate TAsk Manager to see what
is running but Task manager either will not
run or is not installed.

Help?

W32.spybot worm disables NAV, Msconfig, Regedit and Task Manager:

The same symptom is caused due to Klez, Yaha Viruses. It is advisable to run
a full system scan. Be sure you update the anti-virus software definitions.
