Ron

I have installed Anti Spyware Beta and looked for the
System Explorers Icons or links. None are there. What
do I do?

No. But I have Win XP with SP2 installed. And am
running Spyware Blaster. Is the left side of the system
explorers window an activeX control that has been blocked
by Spyware Blaster? If so how do I work around this?
Ron

This isn't an issue specific to XP SP2.

I don't believe it is related to Spyware Blaster---that's not providing
active protection, right--you just run it periodically to block particular
threats?

No, I don't run a scan with Spyware blaster, it runs in
the background to reject suspicious activeX controls. Is
the list of system explorers an activeX control? Should I
unistall/reinstall after disabling spyware blaster, or is
there another problem?

Ron

Ron - I don't think Spyware blaster runs in the background at all. If it
did, I'd recommend stopping that function and checking on the effect, but I
believe the strength of Spyware Blaster is that it just innoculates and then
goes away until you update and innoculate for the new items listed.

I run Spyware Blaster, and I suspect a large number of folks in this beta do
as well. So--I think this is a separate issue, and I'm afraid I have no
workaround to offer you that I know works to fix it.

Thanks Bill
