I have an AGP AIW X800XT with MMC 9.14 and I don't get stereo
TV reception on any channel, even those I know are stereo. The picture
is crystal clear and the sound is good but the indicator only shows mono.
Is there some setting to activate stereo reception? I couldn't find it.

TIA

Hi Tom,

Are you talking about stereo sound from analogue broadcasts? What
country are you in? I don't think stereo decoding of analogue
broadcasts is necessarily a given (e.g. NICAM in UK). If using an
external cable/satellite source, how have you connected this device for
audio? AFAIK, MMC software includes options related to the audio inputs
from external hardware. You wouldn't be trying to get stereo from an RF
coax connection from a cable box, or anything like that....?

Best, Ian.

Hi all,

with analogue cable and ati mmc, if switching to mono via right-click mouse on "mute*" (classic
skin) to prevent sound scramblings, stereo will therefore be mostly detected as mono.

Try the mono switch on integrated amplifier and hear the result within channel that you know stereo
broadcasted, it sometimes reveals a little stereo separation.
