A few possible fixes from Kelly Theriot's site:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Line 117. Restore Taskbar and Start Menu

Line 164. Restore Taskbar to Default Functionality

Line 298. Taskbar Repair Tool Plus!
Try the individual fixes on that page, or the tool.

Try asking in the google toolbar forum .

Why the heck can't you type a short sentence on one fricking line?
This is so idiotic. About time to fire up my killfile, I guess. Too
bad, sometimes you have some decent replies to questions, but your
method of replying stinks to the point of not being worth reading. :/

Here's a question to the group as a whole... am I being overly picky,
or are there others that feel like I do? I've been a bit extra grumpy
lately and am concerned I might be making a mountain of a mole hill.
I'd really like some feedback from the group.

No, I don't think your being overly picky. If anything, you're being
overly generous, regarding the "helpfulness" of his posts; some are many
are not, and all are virtually unreadable. Several others have asked
"db" to lose the HTML posting, and to use a more readable format, but
he's steadfastly refused to do so, and seems to actually take delight in
annoying people.

I killfiled him months ago for this purpose .

Doesn't seem professional
for anyone to give credence
to someone who uses these
newsgroups as their toilets.

Keep your SH*t to yourself

No, you are right on target. A good citizen conforms to the normal
customs of the community he is in.

It's especially true when he has received numerous polite requests to
make everyone else's life here easier by having a normal line length.
He does what *he* wants to do, probably for the express purpose of
annoying others, and doesn't care at all about anyone but himself.

Besides, his answers are rarely correct.

lol

haven't you been castigated
enough by others for your
own mis givings...

what an insulting MVP you
are...

as far as you should be
concerned, I abide by the
microsoft rules that govern
this newsgroup.

however, you have failed
to understand what the
subject at hand is and failed
to abide by it MR. M V P.

you need to do everyone a favor
and re-read the microsoft rules.

But his Vic-20 will only do 22 columns per line! ;o)

humorous.

but save your valuable
time and worthy assistance
for those truly in need.

MVP's are expected to conduct
themselves in a certain manner
because the MVP progarm is
a Microsoft Product.

frankly, Mr. blake must be drunk or high
to have even consider adding
his two cents and patronizing that
mental case who started the issue
and say it in a manner to suggest
he had somekind of authority.

however, maybe he supporting
his buddy MVP, who continues
to troll and be offensive..

lol...
