No sound

please help. I have no sound on my computer at all, I
have checked all the troubleshooting problems and can not
find a remedy for this.

The post from dev is the first place to start,but see
if this may apply to you,I was watching a movie with win
dvd and when I closed the program I accidently hit the
mute also, well this muted my whole system not just win
dvd, it took awhile to figure it out, have you used a
program lately with a mute funtion?
