No sound

I keep finding on some games (and sometimes with some features) that there is
no sound. Like on the There game my Voice feature is malfunctioning, I can
talk to other people but i can't hear them. Also on the Runescape (java game)
game there is no sound at all. Other games are fine like DarkSpace. Is there
any way to fix this?
 
Hi,

There are two ways to fix that issue:

1. Update your Sound card drivers;
2. Update Windows Media Player to replace any codices you might be missing .

Well I have had all the windows updates where do I go for Sound Card drivers?

To the website of the manufacturer of your sound card.
Click Start / Run / type: dxdiag to see your sound specs.

Hi, It could be something more basic than that. Have you double clicked on
the volume control in your system tray and checked to make certain that
WAV's aren't either muted or simply turned all the way down?
