No sound !!!

I wanted to check out a "ringtone" for my cellphone before bying it. Before it started playing, i got a question about Win.Media Player & if I wanted it placed inside the browser, or something like that. I said "Yes". Since that question all sound on my computer has disappeared ! ! !

What happened???

Check control panel---administrative tools---services---scroll down to Windows
audio. Turn it on or restart it..

What do you mean when you say all sound has dissapeared?

Try this first of all, Start>Run and type in:

dxdiag

Click ok and then Click No if it asks you a question, and then click the 'Sound' tab. And click test sound. Does it work?

If not try typing this in Run:

mmsys.cpl

You can check your sound volumes in here.
