No Sound

Hi,
I think I've asked this before and the answer is really simple, but I have
no sound. One day I had it, and the next day I didn't. I haven't done
anything different to the computer or HD. I haven't installed any new
software of programs. I know I was listening to the sounds of my
screensaver one day so I muted it. Then one day I noticed that the programs
I run on the computer weren't making sounds. I don't know what has
happened. None of my volume controls are muted. I've checked everything I
can think of. My head phones don't work either. Everything is plugged into
the back of my computer and into the electrical outlet. This has happened
before and the solution is very simple if I remember correctly. I'd
appreciate any help I can get.

When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you till it
seems you could not hold on a minute longer, never give up then for that is
just the place and time that the tide will turn.

Many programs have a mute funtion that will disable your sounds check them all

I think I've checked all the programs I use. I can't remember muting a
sound. I usually like the sounds the programs make. The only time I mute
is when the sound of a screensaver would be annoying all day and night.
But, since your suggestion I unmuted it. Still nothing.
