No Sound

Hi there. I've just installed SP3 and all seems well. I then decided to
reinstall my Audigy Player and the installation seem to go well but when I
went to try it out I found that I got no sound at all. I've looked at the
sound settings and I can see that the name of my sound card is grayed out.
Now I'm not sure if its SP3 or what and when I try to use System restore it
keep saying that it can not roll back to the dates that I select. Can anyone
out there help?
 
Try reinstalling your Sound Card Drivers. You may first have to
uninstall the software from Add/Remove Programs in
Control Panel.
