When I first got my computer, the speakers would work. But now no sound will
go out and it wont detect any of my speakers that I hook up. If you know what
I can do, please let me know.

Not really enough details for you to get a focused answers, but here is
some general troubleshooting:

1. Make sure nothing is muted in Windows.
2. If this is a sudden change, try a System Restore to when things
worked.
3. Ask yourself what changed between the time things worked and the time
they didn't.
4. Update/reinstall the drivers for your soundcard (see below for driver
information).
5. If none of the above works, swap out the soundcard for a
known-working one. If you have onboard sound, make sure you disable it
first in the BIOS before booting into Windows with the new soundcard
installed.

Get drivers from:

1. The device mftr.'s website; OR
2. The motherboard mftr.'s website if hardware is onboard; OR
3. The OEM's website for your specific machine if you have an OEM
computer (HP, Dell, Sony, etc.).

Read the installation instructions on the website where you get the
drivers.

To find out what hardware is in your computer:

1. Read any documentation you got when you bought the computer.
2. If the computer is OEM, go to the OEM's website for your specific
model machine and look at the specs (you'll be there to get the drivers
anyway)
3. Download, install and run a free system inventory program like Belarc
Advisor or Everest Home Edition.
