NO sound

I have no sound on my Xp ive done all test and my computer says all is well,,,,,,,, speakers work,volume is checked ?? got any ideas,I have done all the IBM says do and all the test prove all is good?

I have recently upgraded to XP from ME and have exactly the same problem. No sound. I had sound with ME. I,also,have checked speakers and configurations and everything says OK. I am baffled.
