Red,
Why are you SHOUTING???? I am not deaf ;-)
Writing in all caps is a really good way to ensure that
you will not receive a response. It is considered to be
shouting and is considered rude! Anyway, I am sure that
you are aware of this. Please keep this in the back of
your mind next time you make a post.
Another thing: this post is ciompletely off topic. This
News Group is for Windows 2000 Active Directory. ASAIK,
there is nothing in AD that talks about sound cards.
However, since I am here: is the Sound Card integrated
on the Motherboard? If yes, is it still enabled in the
BIOS. If it is a PCI Sound Card ( or even an ISA ) try
unseating it from the PCI Slot ( or ISA Slot ) and then
reseating it. It may be that the card somehow became
unseated during the upgrade...
Is there an entry in Hardware Tab - Device Manager for
the Sound Card that is "Xed" out? This could mean that
the proper drivers were not found. You may have to
manually add them.
I would suggest that you post this to a more appropriate
News Group - like the HARDWARE News Group.
HTH,
Cary
