Hi,
my Video Capture Device is ATI TV Wonder USB Edition upgraded to 7.4 for
Window XP-SP2. I have a ATI AGP Video Card.
My Camcorder is Sharp Vew Cam Model VL-E780U and is connected to the capture
device by a S-Video cable.
When I capture the video clip to the Movie Maker, the video turns out fine
but there is no sound. I tried Line In, Microphone and the capture device.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Plug the audio into the "line in" input on your soundcard,
and then go to

Start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices

On the first tab, "Volume," under the section "Device
Volume," click on the "Advanced" button, select "Options"
from the menubar, and select "Properties."

Click the radio button marked "Recording."

Make sure you have "Line In" selected on the next panel.

Hope that helps... let us know.

You're very welcome... that was just one that I knew
about, having had to solve similar issues when doing
audio recording on a PC. That sound mixer has been
essentially the same since Win95; I would have
expected Microsoft to have made that thing more
intuitive by now, but... :-/
..

I'm having problems with sound also, and I tried the idea of going to the
volume control and making sure line in was on. It was, and I still have no
sound. we have Hi8 video camera, and right now I'm tring Video S. It doesn't
give any sound after I capture from a video device or when I dra it into the
timeline
